Epson Improves Viewing Experience with its First Extreme Short Throw Laser Display with 4K Enhancement in Singapore
Singapore, 14 March 2024 – Epson, the No. 1 selling projector manufacturer worldwide1, today announced the launch of EB-810E and EB-815E, Epson’s first 4K Enhancement Resolution (4KE)2 extreme short throw laser display designed for businesses, hybrid working environments and immersive spaces.
Epson’s latest innovation comes on the heels of display trends shifting as businesses put people, content and collaboration at the heart of every room’s design. In Asia Pacific (APAC), three in five (60%) of companies expect some form of hybrid working, ranging from an equal mix of office and remote working (28%), mostly office (24%) and mostly/fully remote (5%), according to a survey report by CBRE.
As a result, there is a crucial need for companies to equip their workspaces with smart workplace technology to enhance overall efficiency while enabling seamless integrated collaboration.
Big screen projection, even in small spaces
With Extreme Short Throw technology, businesses can now achieve a larger screen size without worrying about space constraints. This means that the EB-810E or the EB-815E can be placed just centimetres away from a wall to create bright and immersive images up to 160”, while eliminating disruptive shadows and glares.
Additionally, both EB-810E and EB-815E support multiple aspect ratios. This allows Epson to cater to the different needs of users, including optimising a 21:9 aspect ratio for video conferencing. They also feature multi-projector edge-blending functionality to enable a seamless ultra-wide display at a lower cost.
Exceptional projection quality
In a first for business extreme short throw projectors, the EB-810E and EB-815E projectors are equipped with 4KE, enabling the projection of high definition images. With 5,000 lumens CLO and 3LCD technology, these projectors further project bright and vibrant images up to 160” screen size, ensuring content visibility from all angles and distances.
Ultra-simple installation
Ditching the need for ceiling mounting, complicated cabling and the labour involved, users can either mount the projector on the wall or simply set it up on a surface close by. The EB-810E and EB-815E come with versatile wired and wireless connectivity options, including screen mirroring to ensure effortless, multi-device content sharing.
Weighing only 12.3kg, both projectors are highly portable. This flexibility allows users to easily move the product, meaning multiple spaces of different sizes can share the display, further supporting the demands of agile working.
The Epson Setting Assistant App also makes setup quick and simple. Available for both Android and iOS, the app automatically corrects the shape of a projected image by taking pictures with the camera on the user’s mobile device. By taking a photo of the projected pattern, the app can correct distortion in the projected image and adjusts its shape to match the screen.
